On July 6th 2020, Simone Ricca (WHITRAP Shanghai) visited the Leshan Giant Buddha World Heritage Site, in Sichuan Province. The visit permitted to appreciate the strict application of the COVID19 regulations for the safety of the visitors (no more than 8.000 visitor/day in 4 shifts) and to discuss conservation interventions and methods with Peng Xueyi, Director of the Research Institute of Leshan Giant Buddha. |
