1. Background With an eye on the upcoming 44th Session of World Heritage Committee and to adapt to and promote the ongoing reforms in World Heritage education, WHITRAP initiated the solicitation of innovative case studies on World Heritage Education around the globe in May 2021. The aim is to promote the sharing of relevant international experience and future cooperation, and contribute to the comprehensive and sustainable development of heritage sites.

Over 100 entries from five continents around the world were submitted within one month, covering a range of topics from lifelong education, heritage digitization, cyber technology, cultural tourism development, to world peace, social integration and philosophy.
