![]() The International Conference took place at the ACCU headquarters in Nara, Japan from 19 to 21 December 2017. The conference was jointly organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japan (Bunkacho); Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO in co-operation with the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM).
This event was the second conference organized on this topic, and follows the 2016 one. It aimed to deepen the discussion he discussions launched in 2016, to identify feasible directions for the re-definition of training programme operations in a diversified way. In addition, the conference provided an opportunity to strengthen relationship between WHITRAP and ACCU and to confront training programmes and experiences. Ms. LU Wei, Executive Vice-Director and Mr. Simon Ricca, Vice-Director of WHITRAP Shanghai were invited to present a paper at the conference.
